Locating the VIN on Your GEM

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a unique 17-digit number used to identify individual vehicles. It indicates the model year, model type and serial number of your GEM.

On model year 2005 and newer vehicles, the VIN for your GEM is stamped on a tag affixed to the left dash at the base of the windshield. The VIN can also be found on the manufacturer’s label, which is located on the left rear section of the interior roof panel.


On model year 2004 and older GEM vehicles, the VIN is located on the driver's side in the rear, lower corner of the roof panel. 

The last five to six digits of the VIN are stamped into the main frame and can be seen by lifting up the bench seat on the vehicle, shown below.
