TAX CREDITS/REBATES/EXEMPTIONS:
Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) offers rebates up to $2,500 for the purchase or lease of qualified vehicles. May not be applicable to GEM.
Rebates only offered to applicant with gross annual income not exceeding $150,000 (single filers), $204,000 (head-of-household filers) and $300,000 (joint filers). Rebates only offered to plug-in hybrids with electric range of at least 20 miles.
Alternative Fuel & Advanced Vehicle Rebate – San Joaquin Valley: Drive Clean! Rebate Program provides rebates for the purchase or lease of eligible new vehicles, including plug-in electric vehicles. Rebates up to $3,000 for electric vehicles; available on first-come, first-serve basis for residents in San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District.
Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) offers rebates of $250 to residential customers who purchase or lease an eligible new or used PEV. An additional $250 is available for eligible PEVs purchased or leased from a Pasadena dealership. Customers participating in PWP’s income-qualifying programs may also qualify for an additional $250 rebate, for a total of $750. Rebates are available for PEVs purchased or leased on or after August 1, 2018. PEV purchased or leased before 8/1/18 are only eligible for $200 incentive.
Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District offers $1,000 incentive for all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles purchased or leased from Antelope Valley dealerships; $500 rebate for outside Antelope Valley (including online dealerships). Limited to one per vehicle which each person can claim a maximum of two incentives for life of program.
CHARGING/UTILITY INCENTIVES:
Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric, Los Angeles Dept. of Water & Power, Pasadena Water and Power provide discounted rate plans to residential customers for electricity used to charge electric vehicles.
Residential property owners may have access to Property-Assessed Clean Energy financing to install electric vehicle supply equipment if the local government has PACE program in place.
