Using the Current Parts Catalog
Replacement parts for your GEM vehicle can be identified and ordered using the GEM online parts catalog.
To find a part, visit the online parts catalog.
From the drop-down menu, select the year and model of your vehicle and then click FIND PARTS.
You then will be prompted to choose an assembly.
For example, let’s find a bushing for one of the front control arms on a GEM E4. So we’re looking for the front control arm assembly. We’ll select “SUSPENSION, FRONT CONTROL ARMS.”
After selecting the assembly, you’ll see a diagram — which can be zoomed in or out — with part numbers that correspond to the listings below.
The bushing is item 2. So if we scroll down to 2, we’ll find that it is part number 5139587 and costs $6.99. Here it also can be added to your shopping cart. Note that the default quantity is the number that comes with the complete assembly. In this case, that is four. To only order one, change the quantity to 1 before adding it to your cart.
You also may use the parts catalog to search by individual part number.
If we enter the part number for the bushing, 5139587, and click GO, it shows the description and price. The part also can be added to your shopping cart.
Some parts will show multiple part listings for the same item number, as shown below. The part you need depends on which color or model your vehicle is.
Your GEM Dealer can help you find the correct part for your vehicle. To find a dealer near you, use the Dealer Locator.
The search results also provide a list of vehicles that use the part. This can be viewed by clicking “Select Model.”
The pop-up menu provides a list of all GEM vehicles that use the part, in this case, the bushing. Select the vehicle. In this example, we’re using a 2018 E4.
If we click on that model, it will display a list of assemblies containing the part. Click on the assembly you wish to view.
This brings you to the assembly diagram. The bushing, item 2, is highlighted in the diagram. Scroll down to find the full list of parts for the assembly or to add them to your shopping cart.
Note that some older parts displayed in the parts catalog no longer are available from GEM. Contact your local GEM Dealer for availability. Additionally, any item shown on the schematic comes as a unit of 1. If you need multiples of an item you must adjust the amount you order.
Consumer warning: In order for work to be performed safely and correctly, many parts replacement procedures and repair procedures must be done by trained GEM service technicians in a properly equipped shop. You must read the service manual and be familiar with the service procedures before starting the work. Certain procedures require the use of special tools that are not available to the general public and your dealer will have to perform these procedures for you as necessary. If you have any doubt as to your ability to perform any of the procedures outlined in the service manual, contact an authorized GEM Dealer for service. Procedures indicated to be performed by dealers only could void your warranty if performed incorrectly. The failure to follow correct procedures and use correct tools could result in serious injury or death.
